OSPTA is proud to offer comprehensive, quality, and timely wheelchair seating and positioning evaluations for adults and children with mobility impairments. Our specialized therapists provide thorough evaluations of a client’s physical abilities, functional status, and postural control, as well as analyzing one’s lifestyle and environmental factors, in order to recommend the proper equipment to maximize functional independence.
OSPTA offers the ability to complete equipment evaluations in one of our clinics, or we can bring the clinic to you with our all-inclusive telehealth services. Client’s with severe mobility impairments never have to leave their home in order to be evaluated for new equipment. We work directly with DME suppliers in order to provide the client the ability to trial the recommended equipment in their home or clinic before deciding to order it.
We understand that the process to obtain a custom wheelchair is often long and tedious, and we pride ourselves in the ability to schedule appointments efficiently and to provide a fast turn-around of paperwork. Your therapist will write a letter of medical necessity within 48 hours of your equipment choices being finalized. We also offer a wheelchair delivery visit in order to provide final positioning adjustments and wheelchair training, as needed. Your OSPTA wheelchair therapist will be a partner with you throughout the whole process and a resource as you continue to use your equipment. Our goal is to maximize our client’s functional independence by improving comfort, posture, pressure distribution, respiration, pain, and overall quality of life.
Services we offer include individualized evaluations for:
Pressure mapping services for wound care management
Custom molded wheelchair seats and backs
Bathroom and shower equipment
Standing frames and transfer devices
Pediatric equipment – wheelchairs, car seats, activity chairs, bath equipment, beds, gait trainers
